Because these are working sessions rather than a small conference attendence is limited. To attend you must submit a proposal.

Who should attend

Each workshop is looking for a broad range of experiences that can influence future research directions. There are a few seats in each workshop that are reserved for Ph.D. students who are nearing graduation. We consider this an investment in the future of our communities.

Costs

On-site lodging and meals for all attendees will be paid for by the Computing Community Consortium (CCC), which is an arm of the Computing Research Association (CRA). We have travel funds available for many (not all) attendees. Please indicate in your proposal whether you will need travel fund assistance and how much.

Proposal format

Your proposal should be a maximum of two pages long (strict) and should be submitted in PDF, WORD or plain text. Your proposal should contain the following items:

  • Full Name
  • Contact information including email and phone
  • Current affiliation (university, company, random cool place)
  • Short statement of your research background
  • Statement of your travel budget needs
  • A statement of what you think the key research issues are or the key influences that the workshop should consider (the major part of your proposal)

Submission

Each workshop has a gmail account for submission of proposals for attendance. Email your proposal to that account by the deadline.
